The Lincoln International Millinery Competition is an annual competition open to milliners all around the world. This year the theme was 'A Hat Fit for a Queen, Present or Future', using a hat previously worn by the Queen as inspiration, entrants had to design and create a entry fit for a Queen, with the winners being judged by renowned milliner Stephen Jones OBE.
Despite the large number of entries, I was fortunate enough to be placed 7th winning a wonderful prize in the process. My final piece was titled, Queen Bea, and inspired by two pieces worn by the Queen in the 1970's and 1980's.
